Masterclass Notes
What was so good about our second Masterclass – ‘Going Deeper’ – was that there were plenty of people on the call who are doing just that! And there were also coaches who were glad to know that it’s okay to ‘go deeper’. There seems to be an increasing wish and need amongst coaches (and their clients) to address concerns that are deeper than merely setting goals and reaching them. This was addressed from the beginning of the call as Aboodi and Edna set the context for the split in our consciousness and thinking between doing and being, and the development of a rationalist paradigm that only values doing. This mode of ‘doing’ prevents deepening and can rob a coach of Presence, the foundational requirement for great coaching. We then addressed the practice of Presence and shared ideas and tools for bringing ourselves into Presence so that our coaching could go ‘deeper’.

A very valuable and energising class, that demonstrates the readiness of our profession for deepening the enquiry into the full potential of coaching and its capacity to serve people at a deeper, more whole, level.
