Original class announcement
Theres so much more to Mid-life than trying to keep your body in good working
order, or finding ways to spend surplus cash! Both of these are valuable pursuits
and are fun. But mid-life has extraordinary
and important gifts it can lead us into the possibility of truly
following our bliss. It is a time for transformation and it is often
referred to as the second adolescence meaning that we now have
a chance to develop those parts of ourselves which have lain dormant or unexpressed
since adolescence and to radically increase our emotional and spiritual development.
This MCI Masterclass will enable coaches
to support clients as they negotiate this demanding and very important transition.
You will gain insight into the key features of mid-life experience and how to
work with them.
Some key features of this time are:
- Stepping into new Values
- Learning from Loss, Change and Death
- Creating new vision for the rest of ones life.
- Recognising the Wisdom of Uncertainty.
- Listening to the wisdom of the Body.
- Negotiating mortality.
Whats actually happening here is that we are given a chance to re-assess
and re-adjust the foundations of our lives its as radical as that,
which is partly why this is a very rich area for coaches to work in. What rites
of passage will ease us and our clients in to the next phase of our lives? How
do we/they co-operate with the processes of aging so that we can welcome change
and move into the fullness, wisdom and presence which are the gifts of maturity?
The Alchemy of Mid-life allows us to re-adjust
to slow down long enough to savour life rather then tearing through it.
We can re-balance masculine and feminine energies so that we can finally follow
dreams, seek out beauty, consciously partner with Wisdom, attend to relationship
and allow our lives to be re-ensouled. At last, we can let go of the egoic frame
and move into the joy of the heart full-hearted living. Mid-life
encourages a major re-thinking about who we are and learning that the
heros journey ends with a movement into Soul an experience of Big
Picture living, from the heart as well as the head. We learn how to BE here,
NOW we learn Presence. Compassion joins with passion. These are some
of the major gifts of the mid-life transition.
This MCI Masterclass will address:
- The Mid-life Body: Love it, Listen to its wisdom
- The defining characteristics of the Mid-life Transition
- Soul Mapping (Edinger/Somers) understanding and working with Individuation
- How to create a sustaining vision for ourselves and our Mid-life clients
