When we work with clients, one of the most powerful ways to help them increase awareness and make shifts is via the body.

Most of us spend most of our time living "in our heads", and yet our truth lives in our bodies. As James Joyce put it, "Mr Dufy lived a short distance from his body."

In this teleconference call, we will look at how to use the body in coaching, whether we work in person or on the 'phone with our clients.

We will explore how to learn from the client's body, from their breathing, their tone of voice, and how they hold themselves. We'll also look at how to communicate effectively with them so that they can become more aware of what is going on for them, and how they can make changes to their lives from this awareness.

The speakers

Aboodi Shabi is one of the UK's most senior coaches, and a sought-after speaker and presenter. He has been a pioneer and leader in the UK coaching community since 1997, as well as serving the profession at all levels internationally. Aboodi was a founder co-President of the UK International Coach Federation (ICF) and also served on the main ICF Board. He is an ICF Professional Certified Coach, and also is certified as an Ontological Coach by Newfield Network, for whom he is currently European Programmes Manager, and a senior trainer.

He has also trained with Newfield Network and The Strozzi Institute in coaching and the body, as well as doing his own personal journey in this field.

Aboodi has worked with hundreds of people across the world, both individually and in groups, addressing audiences in a wide-range of settings and several countries. He has worked with and presented to coaches from all over the world.
